Purpose

We want to spread the awareness of the unique nature of the Pacific Northwest, where people have always blazed their own trails. We hold that it is once again time to consider our commonwealth, to speak for a sustainable future separate from the suicidal path of environmental, spiritual and societal destruction inherent in the rise of the corporate state.

'I apologize' for voting for Bush

I saw this in the Oregonian today…

“I’m a registered Republican. I voted for George W. Bush and contributed financially to his campaign. I was wrong. I apologize. Bush is the worst president America has had—ever.

Bush has turned the entire world against America. He has lied to the American people and gotten us in a terrible mess in Iraq. There were no Iraqi weapons of mass destruction that threatened America. There was no Iraqi connection with international terrorism.

Before Sept. 11, 2001, there were a few hundred Saudi and Egyptian terrorists. Bush’s policies since 9/11 have created hundreds of thousands of new terrorist recruits throughout the Muslim world. Bush created this monster.

We are wasting our national treasure in Iraq due to Bush’s arrogant, “pre-emptive warfare” doctrine. We have lost 3 million jobs since Bush took office—and we are exporting our remaining manufacturing and high-tech jobs to low-wage countries at a dizzying pace.

We are piling up massive deficits that will ultimately create chaos in our economy.

Bush must be replaced.”

A Definition

From the American Heritage Dictionary -
The definition of the word describing the form of government the German democracy had become through Hitler’s close alliance with the largest German corporations and his policy of using war as a tool to keep power:

“fas-cism (fash’iz’em) n. A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism.

Sound familiar?

Presidential Words

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Teddy Roosevelt, 1918

“I am not one of those who believe that a great army is the means of maintaining peace, because if you build up a great profession those who form parts of it want to exercise their profession.”

Woodrow Wilson
28th US president
Nobel laureate

The Gropenator

"When you see a blonde with great tits and a great ass, you say to yourself, ‘Hey, she must be stupid or must have nothing else to offer’, which maybe is the case many times.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger
July, 2003 Esquire Magazine interview

“How many times do you get away with this - to take a woman, grab her upside down, and bury her face in a toilet bowl?”

Arnold Schwarzenegger
July, 2003 Entertainment Weekly interview,
speaking about a scene from his latest film.
